Our sister is an amazing woman! She taught me more algebra in one afternoon than my 8th grade teacher could all year. She was about 10 years old, I think. She took apart and fixed our phone and our vacuum, before Mom got home from work about that same time.

Remember the first time she picked up a football and threw a perfect spiral across the length of the backyard? How about the time she joined the swim team one summer just for fun and came home with ribbons?

She home-schooled two exceptional kids who, in addition to being fabulous in their own right, are now instilled with a love of learning and curiosity for it that will serve them well all their lives. And they both have exceeded what the whole state of MD education system is able to achieve with all their resources for her kids' peers.

I'm so proud of both of you, Gail and Michael, who you are and what you've accomplished, the families you're creating, but mostly the people that you've become!

Love you BIG!
